![]() One study program is The Study Group. The Study Group is based in Virginia, and was started by Stan Hamrick. Many bar exam takers in California have never heard of The Study Group. Some who have taken The Study Group do not care for the program, except they may have nice comments to say about one of the critiquers who used to work for The Study Group. Stan Hamrick is not much of a communicator. When he terminates, or does not wish to do any more business with someone, he may not be direct in telling that person he no longer intends to do business with that person. BarBri is up to date on the changes to the California bar exam since July 2007. Its outlines indicate the changes relating to civil procedures, business associates, evidence, and so forth. Bargraders seems to update its sample answers to practice exams with such changes too. Emerson uses BarBri outlines, and is quick to provide sample answers to prior bar exam questions.
