The buzz topic for December 14, 2007 is that today is Know More Media's second anniversary. As for companycounselor, it has been up since early 2006. Many things have changed since the first blog posts. In the beginning, there were no photos. Now each post has a photo to illustrate the point or topic of the post.
There have also been many new authors on the site, and each author has been working together to discuss buzz topics with a different view depending on the subject of the blog.
Know More Media's anniversary brings significance to digital media and online publishing. Many of the authors are from California, and in a recent news article in the San Francisco Chronicle, it was reported that must blogs are being written by people in the United States, and that most people in the United States now spend time each day commenting on blog posts.
Blogging has allowed attorneys to share their knowledge and the sharing of knowledge has added publicity to law firms, and legitimacy to the reputations of attorneys by letting people know that they know their practice areas.
Technology has changed the way people get news by allowing the masses to share their opinions. For instance, in the recent IPO of SuccessFactors, Inc., there were many people with finance backgrounds who read through the S-1 to show those who did not know much about accounting that a company’s success has to do with making profits as much as it has to do with revenues. Before news over the Internet and the postings by ordinary people who are not reporters, people did not have so many viewpoints to acknowledge.
