There is the removal of “List A” documents from the form because they lack features to deter counterfeiting, tampering, and fraud. “List A” documents are documents that establish identity and employment eligibility, including Certificate of US Citizenship (Form N-560 or N-570); Certificate of Naturalization (Form N-550 or N-570); Alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-151).
Using the new form immediately eliminates confusion on the acceptability of certain documents. Official use of the new form begins after publication in the Federal Register, and if the new form is not used by employers then, there may be fines and penalties.
