For the attorney visiting Shanghai, he/she might look for a hotel that is less expensive than the hotels in the main part of town.  Xinpeng Hotel is two subway lines away from the main town.

Xinpeng Hotel seems to be run by a family, whose members do not speak a lot of English.  If a person wants to go to a site by taxi, the front does not do much in terms of calling a cab.  The person will need to go out into the streets and wave for the taxis him/herself.  If it happens to be raining, finding a taxi may take an hour, and if a person is lucky enough to have a taxi stop, a local may run up and take over the cab. 

The water at Xinpeng Hotel seems to be yellow so it may not be something to drink even when it is boiled.  If the water is put inside a plastic bottle, the bottle seems to contain particles after a few hours. 

Xinpeng Hotel is not found on many Internet sites so there is not much of a description of the place for someone to consider before booking.  The rooms are quite large, with hardwood floors.  The person has to be careful not to slip after a shower. 

Closeby to Xinpeng Hotel are 24 hour convenience stores, where a visitor is able to buy a bottle of soda for as little as 2.5 RMB.
