The bathrooms contain certain items which must be paid for when consumed. To the ordinary traveler thinking that everything supplied in a room is free, the person must look twice to see that some items such as toothpaste contain price tags.
When a person runs out of an item in the room such as soap, the person may call the front desk for requests, but should be aware that the front desk is not always monitored by English speaking workers. When the person who answers the phone does not understand a request, the person hangs up leaving the guest to wonder how to communicate his/her needs.
Tiantan Sports Hotel does not exchange money though it displays the exchange rates. There is supposedly an ATM machine nearby at the Pearl Market area, or a bank around the corner.
Tiantan Sports Hotel also is not the cleanest place to stay. After one night, the guest may have 3 – 5 mosquito bites on his/her legs. This teaches the guest to wear insect repellant to sleep and not get too relaxed staying at a hotel.
