Shan means mountain in Chinese. For the attorney who wants to get closer to heaven, he/she might consider climbing a mountain in Tai Shan. A famous mountain in Tai Shan has 6666 stairs, and costs 125 RMB to enter.
Six is considered a lucky number in Chinese. The visitor should be sure to purchase some souvenir rocks prior to starting his/her climb because he/she may not be able to see replicas of such items anywhere else. The climb involves a continuous walk of stairs with views of temple gates, prayer halls, and wishing wells along the way. Some mountain walks are carved with red Chinese characters. Food vendors are able to keep vegetables cold with water streams that come out of long green weeds.
For the visitor who is not able to make it to the top of the peak, there is a cable car for 45 RMB half way. At the top, it requires another 45 RMB for the down cable lift.
