Those who graduated with both business and law degrees from UC Berkeley are invited to attend the free event. The gathering is said to give insight into the business aspects of sports.
Besides the legal career potential of being a sports agent, negotiating contracts for players, attorneys may be interested to know that sports is not just for entertainment, but a lot of effort goes into marketing for visitors with different ticket schemes and different giveaways. People who work behind the scenes know that a football game involves not only players, but also security, guest services, announcers, and media. The average spectator may not realize that there are different entrances and badges for different levels of people, even the food catered to different levels of people may be different. During rain, workers need to make sure that certain areas are properly sandbagged. Golf carts need to be properly repaired to transport people. Sometimes it takes a week, with people working until the day before a game, to prepare for a few 3-4 hours of play.
