Deborah Walker, a contributing writer, wrote on Career Newz about top interview bloopers. She wrote about the poor handshake. The limp hand meant weakness.
She stated not to talk too much. When someone started to talk too much, the person may reveal more information than necessary to answer the question. For example, when asked about a personal blog, the person may ruin the showcasing of being a good writer by labeling him/herself as opinionated.
Walker stated not to take too long to answer direct questions. Someone who was a nervous talker gave the impression he/she may be lying. Practicing questions ahead of time. Avoid verbal ticks such as umms, and you know.
Walker advised against arriving too early or too late. Arriving too early showed the person had too much time on his/her hand. This may be a sign of desperation. This was contrary to the standard advice on arriving ten minutes early.
Walker stated to demonstrate interest in the job by preparing questions to ask the employer.
