On July 23, 2007, there was a showing of a video by Dr. Les Carter in Menlo Park, CA on the execution of the famous quote, change your thoughts, change your world. The video interviewed people who had to deal with anger. Anger can eat away the emotional and physical health when it is difficult to let go.
Anger stems from rejection, uncooperation, criticism, and having to be with someone who is difficult to get along with. Anger is the want to preserve self worth, basic needs, respect. Anger comes from standing up for personal beliefs. Anger stays alive when referring to someone negatively.
The quality of life is not good when someone clings to anger. Anger may be triggered by overdependence on other people. This is when someone looks to someone else to give value, worth. When someone realizes that worth comes from within, there is less anger.
