Google has hired Makan Delrahim, a former Justice Department official to lobby the government. The deal is in the over $3 billion range.
Delrahim is a attorney in Washington at the firm of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck. The federal antitrust regulators will be considering privacy issues, among other antitrust issues. DoubleClick assists clients in placing trackings on online advertisements to determine click activities. Combined with Google, DoubleClick technology could bring a lot of private information about consumers under one roof.
