For those attorneys on group email lists, many may have heard wind of Joost. With many posting requests asking for invitations and access to Joost. What is Joost? For attorneys in technology, they may be interested to know that Joost appears to be a new way of watching TV on the Internet.
Those with flat screen monitors may enjoy watching tv shows on Joost more than a regular tv.
Joost appears to have Internet features besides the ability to watch tv. There are features for search, chat and instant messaging so people can do other Internet chores while watching tv. Already the blogosphere seems to have several blogs written about the Joost technology.
Joost is completely free, but in its beta, people must have an invitation from an existing user in order to access. This seems similar to the gmail scheme from Google where people need to know someone in order to use Joost. Supposedly it may be a way to keep illegitimate users out, and an interest measure.
