Scullard said not to be with people without vision. People need to know what they want. Spending time with people without vision will not get anyone anywhere. He also said not to be with people who kill one’s visions.
Scullard said to be with people who challenge them. These people make them accountable. People are not able to grow alone. These people make them a better person. Everyone should be open to training.
Scullard spoke about sincerity. He researched how the word “sincere” came from Latin meaning without wax. Apparently, in history wax was used to cover up cracks in vases. He advised the audience not to cover the cracks in their lives. Wax eventually melts, and the cracks will be seen. People are to take off their masks and change on the inside in order to be attractive on the outside. Having sincerity goes along with having a pure heart and good conscience.
