She advised everyone to be familiar with history. The more a person knows history, the more the person knows about the self. King discussed how she studied the history of tennis. She said that people usually make changes in their lives based on the people they met. She believed in giving back to communities, and spoke about how an institution such as Stanford University that received many alumni funds could contribute some of the funds to community colleges or state universities where the funds were not plenty in order to spread some of the wealth.
She talked about the privileges of media that gave people the ability to speak, and allow others to see how people felt and looked like.
