Atnip gave personal examples of the hardships in her life. She said that everyone experienced anger. Anger is a symptom of a problem, a lack of expectations of needs being met. When people are angry, they are quick to take defense, remember the faults, and misinterpret.
Before reacting, Atnip advised the audience to evaluate themselves versus looking at the issue as someone else’s fault. Ask what did the other person do to make one angry? Ask what did one do to make another person angry? Understand the reasons behind the anger, and learn the truth about the self. If one stays angry, one is not able to live life, and only exists. Anger keeps people from enjoying life.
