
For attorneys interested in privacy, they might be interested in reading up on Political and Economic Research Council (PERC). The research objectives of PERC are to generate a consumer-centric policy study that develops economic measures of the impact of the use of consumer data by businesses.
The project will produce a quantitative analysis of the impacts of consumer information flows on a range of industries and upon individual firms. At every stage, the value of information flows to the consumer will drive the analysis. There will be message testing done to identify benefits consumers value the most, survey data will examine consumer touch points as well as applications of third-party data for specific consumer products/services. There will be drill downs on specific third-party data flows common across several industries that are identified as high-value to consumers.
