The Zemble site prevents spammers by requiring users to complete the registration process with a verification from their mobile phones.

There is a profile page for users to share items of interest, and an invite page for users to invite their friends.  The company operates a proprietary text messaging system based on SMTP server.  Unlike CSC where the user has to pay for every call to text, SMT does not charge the user. 

The site allows the user to control when to receive text messages, how many messages, and from whom to receive messages.

The company is located in Los Angeles, CA.  The company has 4 part time and 2 full time employees.  Revenue is expected from mobile marketing campaigns such as coupons.  At the end of text messages, there will be a targeted advertisements based on demographics.  The speaker researched that the average person sends only 40 characters, with 120 characters not utilized on the average 160 characters available, for advertisements.
