In the moving “Little Children”, Brad, also known as the Prom king, and the law school graduate going on his third try of the bar exam, illustrated how those who have it all continued to seek meaning in life. Instead of studying for the bar exam, Brad escaped every night to watch skate boarders at a park. Meanwhile, his wife had high hopes that he would pass the exam so that she no longer had to be the only breadwinner of the house.
The movie illustrated how sometimes married people really did not know the people they were married to, and how some people were selfish towards their spouses though they lived with them. After getting upset at her husband for sniffing the panties of an Internet porn star, and playing with himself, Sarah, played by Kate Winslett, ordered a swimsuit so that she could bump into Brad and his son at the neighborhood pool. The two started having an affair, and instead of taking the bar exam, Brad deceived his wife and went on an overnight date with Sarah.
Later, Brad and Sarah decided to run away together. Brad was going to leave his son and wife without saying goodbye.
