Surprising to see Remi DuFour, graduate of Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, and formerly of Pacific Gas & Electric Co., move into the start up and high tech world with Grapeflix.  DuFour is the founder and CEO of Grapeflix.  He announced his startup in the Cal Connection this January 2007, and in the press on October 16, 2006.   

Grapeflix was founded in 2006 in Northern California. It markets an innovative approach to on-demand movies that puts the power of distribution into filmmaker’s hands. 

Why should the attorney be interested in following this company?  Of interest is the Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology and copyright issues involved in this type of movie distribution.
