During the winter 2007 quarter, courses are offered at $13/unit.  For the 5 unit class, this amounts to around $100.50 including student fees for health services, discount movie passes, and other services. 

Why study Mandarin at DeAnza College as opposed to other educational institutions?  The courses are taught by some of the same instructors who teach at well known universities.  For example, the Mandarin I course is taught by an instructor who also teaches at Stanford University.  Thus, even with the low price, students can get a quality education.
