On January 3, 2007, the founders of Comicvine.com gave a talk in San Francisco on their new site for comic nerds.  The average attorney may not be interested in reading comics, but the site may be of interest to the technology attorney looking to see how a wiki operates.  The founders claim that the software for the site has been built flexible enough to build similar sites.  The platform is based on PHP, MySQL, with AJAX. 

The founders, known as Captain Cascader and Red Lamp on the site, are based in Berkeley, CA.  Captain Cascader demonstrated how the company got people interested in visiting the site by having an attractive female list.  Red Lamp thought that comic enthusiasts were also interested in girls so he came up with the idea for people to go on the site to vote for their favorite comic females.  There was also a most attractive male ranking with Night Wing the winner so far, and Batman at second.
