Brobeck, Pleger & Harrison LLP (Brobeck) was a well known law firm in Silicon Valley during the Internet boom in the 1990s. There was a big building that could be seen when driving down the 101 freeway.  They had tons of startup and public company clients.  They  handled all aspects of legal needs. Their client list included Cisco Systems and many law school graduates applied to work for them. The law firm dissolved in 2003 due to financial difficulties after the economic downturn.  The firm had been in business for years, and it was a surprise to many.  The news was the topic of a shinenkai conversation.
