On November 7, 2006, San Francisco voters approved Proposition F, the Paid Sick Leave Ordinance. The San Francisco Administrative Code will be amended to include a new paid sick leave provision (“Chapter 12W”).

(1) Reviewing policies and procedures for providing paid sick leave to employees in compliance with Chapter 12W.
(2) Implementing record keeping procedures to ensure compliance with Chapter 12W (including the ability to track the hours worked by exempt employees).
(3) Post the notice published by the San Francisco Office of Labor Standards Enforcement on Chapter 12W.
(4) Revising attendance policies to ensure compliance with Chapter 12W.
(5) Training managers to ensure they are following the company’s established practices and procedures regarding paid sick leave.
