On November 7, 2006, San Francisco voters approved Proposition F, the Paid Sick Leave Ordinance.
Under Proposition F, all covered employees must accrue at least one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a cap of at least 72 hours, unless the company employs fewer than ten persons during a given week (in which event the accrual cap is 40 hours).
