Greg Brill who will be speaking at the Cornell University campus in November 2006, gives advice on game start ups that are beginning to bubble up around the Cornell campus.

A Gamasutra article about Brill, although written in the context of game start ups, may be true for many start up situations. In the article, Brill shares wisdom on legal concepts such as intellectual property rights, nondisclosure agreements, shareholder agreements. The article discusses management organization and seeing situations like a venture capitalist. Where money, success, and people are involved, there is human mistrust, and a need to protect one’s interests. The article expresses that Brill communicates considering such protections and putting them in place before the power of the company arises.
