In his book Anger, Thich Nhat Hanh writes that happiness requires freedom from anger, despair, jealousy, delusion.

When a person’s speech is full of anger, he/she becomes bitter and ready to blame others for his/her problems. People will find it unpleasant to listen to him/her, and seek to avoid him/her.

To transform anger, practice compassionate listening. Smile in order to relax the muscles that tense from anger. Anger comes from habit energy. Everything is possible with communication that expresses desire for peace. Indicate that the relationship is the most important. Be pleasant so that the other person does not resist coming close.

The individual is primarily responsible for anger, not another person. Anger may be the result of a wrong perception, not another person’s words or wrongdoings.
