Why training? Training allows an employer to attract and retain talent. Employers should maintain a workplace that is productive, positive, with a good morale and public image. People do not want to work at places where there are problems so employers should make an effort to not have any problems, and if they do, they should reduce the liability, business interruptions, and financial impact of lawsuits.
Training is also advised because of California AB 1825, which requires employers to train supervisory personnel. The training must be interactive. There is current debate as to whether web based training is considered interactive.
