On October 23, 2006, Café Cocomo, one of the premier salsa clubs in the United States, held its special 2 lessons for $7 night. One might wonder how salsa relates to practicing law.

Salsa draws influences from a variety of music and cultures, including Africa and Cuba. For the international attorney, salsa assists in learning different cultures such that the attorney is able to be better at ease when communicating with people.

Salsa, in the dance sense, allows the attorney to learn about his/her body language so that he/she is able to move in ranges when interpreting the body movements of other people.

As a salsa leader, one learns to use patterns to keep the followers interested. Salsa followers learn to be versatile when breaking down the footwork directions of salsa leaders. This gives insight into expectations when following the lead.

At Café Cocomo, classes are taught with all dancing levels in mind, going into detail about the patterns and rhythms taught.
