The attorney who works in a global market may always benefit through learning the cultures of other countries, especially developing areas of the world. The 10th Annual Arab Film Festival in San Francisco, CA gives reflection into Arab cultures while current events report on the violence in the Middle East and misunderstandings of those of Arab origin in the United States.

The showing of Zozo on September 8, 2006 conveyed humanity as a young boy who, after witnessing the deaths of his parents and sister, escaped with nothing from Lebanon to Sweden to live with his grandparents. Though he left war-torn Beirut for safety, the viewer asks whether he actually escaped violence and misunderstanding when older children in his new school beat him up, and he became a school outcast.
Another showing, Kiss Me Not on the Eyes, explored tradition, expression, and passion as a young dancer balanced her desire to complete graduate school, and choices on intimacy and love. Though based in Cairo, many are able to relate to the dilemmas involved when making personal choices to balance what one wants and what one believes in career and personal life situations.

Perhaps through relating to the life trials of others, everyone is able to better dedicate to promoting understanding and peace when working together in this eclectic economy.
