On August 1, 2006, DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Gary hosted in East Palo Alto, CA, a newtech meetup where the CEOs and executives of start-up companies demonstrated web 2.0 technologies, and mingled with fellow entrepreneurs and investors.
One demonstration featured SiteKreator, a tool that allowed small business owners, and perhaps small law firms or solo practitioners, to design and brand business websites.
The product provided for blogs, legal pages, and forums that integrated under the same brand. It enabled people without technical skills to build branded websites.
After registering for the service, the user was able to adjust the look and feel of a site, add logos, set copyright statements, add slogans, change graphics, and change color schemes.
The hosting of the service was served by local data servers which were able to handle traffic spikes. The product offered export of site content to other services, and enabled users to migrate their current content from their current sites.
The service was launched in 2002, and was now in beta mode. The project team was composed of 25 persons. The web design features were available free of charge. Users paid for the hosting and storage functions only.
Full release of the product was projected to take place at the end of this year. There were currently approximately 20,000 users. The project was founded by NetClime, Inc., which existed since 1991.

Great summary! SiteKreator is the perfect solution for small firms looking to build a comprehensive and interactive web site without paying a small fortune to have someone design the same thing. We just built a series of SiteKreator-bases "business" sits to use as client portals.
