On August 2, 2006, McDermott Will & Emery hosted a Cornell Entrepreneur Network event in Palo Alto, CA.

The event gathered current student interns and Cornell University alumni for a reception and presentation. Interns presented their experiences at Silicon Valley companies. Companies discussed included: Symyx Technologies, Inc., Yahoo!, NASA Ames Research Center.

Cornell alumni who attended represented a variety of colleges including business, engineering, arts and sciences, agriculture. They represented a diversity of organizations including Johnson & Johnson, Browster, Inc., Adobe Systems, Inc., Spansion, Inc.

The event was a great way for all professionals to meet and discuss their fields. Many times an attorney’s worth is expanded just by knowing more than the law, and one way to gain such knowledge may be to speak with those outside of the legal industry.
