
Oracle Corporation purchased Norway-based Net4Call, a provider of carrier-grade Parlay infrastructure software. Financial terms were not disclosed.
On April 18, 2006, Amdocs, a global software company with revenue of more than $2 billion in fiscal 2005, announced it agreed to acquire Qpass, a leading provider of digital commerce software and solutions. The transaction, subject to regulatory approvals, is expected to close by June 2006.
On April 17, 2006, Level 3 Communications agreed to buy ICG Communications, Inc., a privately held Colorado-based telecommunications company, for $163 million in cash and stock. Level 3 is an international communications and information services company. Recently, on March 20, 2006, Level 3 announced it completed its acquisition of Progress Telecom, LLC, a regional wholesale network services company based in Florida.
