Interruptions are those events in life that are not planned. Someone might start a new job thinking that he/she has finally landed a direct hire position only to have it last only four months. Someone might enter a company with securities listed on the NASDAQ only to have see the stock be delisted within five months of employment to the OTC. Someone might accept a director level position at beneath his market value only to become CEO of the company in three years with a 72% increase from his starting salary.
So often what one thinks is so important, the track one is on, or the plans made that one is not able to see the significance of interruptions. It is important to be aware that sometimes plans are completely irrelevant.
In times of interruptions, one might be uncomfortable, fearful, or anxious of the future, but it is important to not leave the stage too quickly. Stay a while to see where the event will be taken, and how the situation will resolve. Sometimes situations may be taken to places unexpected and one misses out by leaving the stage too quickly. Even if the stage is left, do not be afraid to return to see how the interruption will finish. Be able to see interruptions from different perspectives. Have a flexible perception of life, people, and events. Opportunities arise from random events.
