Legal technology can do much to ease the burdens of overworked corporate counsel, but where do you learn about the latest on-line resources, gadgets, and software?
Start with Robert Ambrogi's LawSites. The tagline says it all: "Tracking new and intriguing web sites for the legal profession." Ever hear of Pretrieve? Read Robert's posts, Free public record search engine and Pretrieve adds nationwide searching of online court records. While you're visiting his site, check out his recent Web site tracks anti-fraud actions post.
You have other resources at your disposal, too. Dennis Kennedy keeps a list of them in the "Legal Technology Central" section of his website. His list of Favorite Legal Technology Resources is well worth a visit. Some of my favorites are on his list including the ABA's Legal Practice Today.
While you're checking those out, why not take a look at some excellent blogs on the subject? Try inter alia, Between Lawyers and PDF for Lawyers. Also, visit Michael Arrington's TechCrunch to keep up with new technology offerings that one way or another could affect our profession.Do you have other suggestions? Don't keep them to yourself!
